Chapel Hill Branch Hosts Celebration at the Community Park on July 26th, 2026

On July 26th, 2026, members of the AYLUS Chapel Hill Branch gathered to celebrate a productive year, reflecting on many activities and milestones. Our volunteers have made a significant impact, from baking for Meals on Wheels to performing at Charles House, to organizing clean-up events at Bolin Creek, Dry Creek, and Jordan Lake. We’ve also crafted gifts for the Ronald McDonald House, maintained Little Libraries, and collected donations for Charles House. As a result of these efforts, we’ve been recognized with multiple “Branch of the Month” and “Branch of the Year” awards, highlighting our commitment to service.

At the celebration, we extended our deepest thanks towards some special individuals. Eric has been a key driving force, leading volunteer events and updating our website. Grace has shown unwavering leadership in key initiatives, and we’re excited to hear from them as they move on to college —congratulations on their graduation!

A huge thank you to our advisors for their guidance and support, which have been instrumental to our success. We appreciate our advisors for their incredible generosity, which has helped us expand our impact.

Finally, to every volunteer—thank you for your trust, support, and dedication. Everyone’s involvement makes all the difference in our ability to achieve our mission.

Volunteers who participated in this event were: Eric Sun, Grace Gao, Leah Yang, Selena Wang, Alissa Liu, and Andrew Zhao.
