On January 29th, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) visited the NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Menlo Park (132 Evergreen Road, Edison, NJ 08837) for another wonderful music performance.
GPA members presented a music program with fabulous singing, dancing, piano, and more instruments to hundreds of veterans and their families.
Rebuilt in 1999 on 109-acres in Middlesex County, the facility is the most modern, state-of-the-art nursing home in the United States. The 312-bed facility features a “town square” core with resident living areas located around the perimeter. The home is next to Roosevelt Hospital and is easily accessible from Route 1 and Route 287, the Garden State Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike.
GPA leader Katherine Shi has organized this program since September (reaching out to Veterans Memorial Home, 1/2, 3 hrs; calling for performances 1/10, 3 hrs; arranging program, 1/22, 3 hrs).
AYLUS Volunteers (1/29, 3 hrs for all): Katherine Shi, Jason Shi, Jason Mo, Alex Wen, Abby Du, Andrew Huan, Rupert Zhang, Leia Levarek, Alice Jiang, Olivia Chen, Tian Liao (host), Meiqi Tan (Host), Xing Liao, Claire Zhang, Osar Liu, and many more dancers of the King’s Academy.
