From December 1st, 2022, to January 10th, 2023, our branch members have been donating food supplies to four locations around East Brunswick in preparation to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day. To spread word about the drive, Daniel Yu constructed a digital flyer and sent it to social media platforms such as WeChat.
On January 16th, AYLUS volunteers went to the Replenish Food Bank located in East Brunswick, a place where we have visited in the past and donated other items, to drop off the collected supplies. In total, we collected about 210 items, including a wide variety of items such as pasta, cereal, and canned food.
As the new year begins, volunteers are determined to help those in less fortunate situations to make a good start to the year. By doing so, not only do volunteers provide hope to impoverished people throughout East Brunswick, but also facilitate their own personal growth. In the future, we plan to continue to host fundraisers and contribute to our community!
Thank you to all members who donated and dropped off at the Replenish building.
