On October 29, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society hosted its annual Light the Night at Wilson Farm Park. Thousands gather as a community to celebrate, honor, and remember those touched by blood cancers. Overall, the event raised approximately $250,000 in funds that were allocated to helping children with cancer.
The members of Main Line branch volunteered covered two shifts, one that began from 12 P.M. – 4 P.M. for setting up and another that began from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M for the actual walk. Emily and Mindy helped with setting up the lanterns, around 40 of them each, and the tents around the walking route. Later, during the actual event, Celina helped with distributing the lanterns to visitors and setting up the remembrance pavilion.
