On September 25th, members Jessica Lu, KaiXi (Kathy) Liu, and Yuan (Ann) Yin met up at their local park to host another park clean-up.
Despite of the warm weather, members still decided to continue on with their monthly park clean-up. This was actually 2 of the members’ first time doing a park clean-up and they spent the first couple of minutes teaching them what to do and to put any recyclable bottles in another bag. Members first started from the parking lot to the playground, to the tables, to the sidewalks, and then finally to the area around the tennis court. During the clean-up, members met 2 dogs and spent a couple of minutes playing with the dogs. The dog owners thanked the members for their hard work in keeping our community clean.
The members also kept a sharp eye out for bottles/cans to recycle and also dug bottles/cans from all the trashcans in the park. They filled up 2 bags full of bottles and were very happy about their search! Members disposed their trash properly and look forward to their next park clean-up!
