At the beginning of the event, past year’s President Volunteer Service Award winners received their medals and certificates. Many students and families joined the forum either in person or through live zoom meeting to listen to the presenters, who described their experiences with college applications and any habits or advise that would aid the process. In total, there were over 150 people attended the forum, either in person or online.
AYLUS was able to have four speakers, including former AYLUS president Andy Gu of Yale University, Cordelia Li of Stanford University, Jayden Lu of the University of Texas at Austin, and Rishabh Dave of the University of California, Berkley. The four thoroughly answered questions about the general college application process, actions to benefit the application process, and universal productivity habits.
The event was managed by AYLUS officers Aila Jiang and Kate Liu, who administered interview questions to the orators, presented virtual zoom attendees’ questions, while organizing and supervising the rest of the event. The event ended successful, and a summary was posted in WeChat.
