AYLUS Pearland Staff Connects with Greater Houston Area Organizations on June 11th

On June 11th, AYLUS Pearland staff members attended a Networking luncheon overseen by the Light and Salt Association of Houston, a non-profit charitable organization, to strengthen connections between charitable organizations in the Greater Houston area. AYLUS staff met other volunteer organizations, such as New Hope Church of The Woodlands. At the luncheon, AYLUS staff members discussed upcoming events that can be co-attended, such as the Houston Food Bank as well as other charity drives. Members also discussed the dangers of mental health problems prevalent in teenagers and strove to structure a volunteer program dedicated to combating it.

The luncheon was an overall success, and AYLUS Pearland hopes to further strengthen its ties to other organizations within the Greater Houston area to coordinate more ambitious and overreaching projects. AYLUS Pearland thanks the Light and Salt Association for arranging the luncheon.

AYLUS Pearland Attendees (3 hours): Kate Liu, Aila Jiang, Andy Jiang, Fred Guo, Derek Zhu, Jonathan Niu, Matthew Niu
