In March and April, AYLUS Pearland hosted a plant fundraiser which included plants such as flowers and vegetables. Based on last year’s plant fundraiser success, AYLUS Pearland felt that the fund from this fundraiser would be a beneficial for a special needs program.
Beginning in March, community members donated a variety of different plants to help this fundraiser, which included a plethora of different garden flowers, succulents, and garden vegetables. Over the two months, AYLUS members held and handled both online and in-person sales. Many of the sales and donations were done through social media platforms, but AYLUS also organized several in-person sales on March 20, April 2, April 17, and April 23.
A total of $1,072 was collectively raised between online and in-person sales throughout the months and March and April. All of the funds that were raised will be donated to a special needs program and schools with economically disadvantaged students. This fundraiser demonstrated AYLUS Pearland members’ commitments and care for helping other individuals in our local community.
