The AYLUS Bellaire branch volunteered at the Nature Discovery Center in Bellaire, Texas for the third time on Sunday, March 27, 2022, from 1pm-3pm.
The volunteers cleared the garden bed of grass and weeds by loosening up the soil then scooping up the plants with shovels. They then tilled the soil so that seeds could be planted there in the future. Additionally, the volunteers got rid of a particularly prevalent weed in the area called sticky-weed.
Ten volunteers participated in the event (2 hours): Helena Wang (project leader), Miranda Wang, Alex Tang, Isabel Li, Zachary Xiao, Delbert Nie, Mingyi Chen, Albert Ying, Andrew Chen, and Andrew Liu.
