AYLUS Pearland Calling for Essays, Oct. 11, 2021

2021 is the 2nd year of AYLUS Pearland becoming Project Rise and Shine’s partner. To collect the feedback from members, on Oct 11th, 2021, AYLUS Pearland called for essays on volunteering events. In this project, the participating members picked topic(s) from the following list and submitted essays with at least 300 words.

  1. What you have learned from your recent AYLUS volunteering work about the community, humanity and yourself?
  2. What is your favorite volunteer work? Explain why in terms of how you gained a sense of purpose, sense of achievement for making a difference.
  3. During the pandemic, many students are mentally stressed and some of depressed. Did you find AYLUS volunteering work help you better cope with mental stresses? Please explain how if so.
  4. In your opinion, what should be done differently to help students deal with stresses if the pandemic persists?
  5. Could you describe a special moment that impacts your life during AYLUS’ volunteering events?

Total 21 members participated in this project and 24 essays have been collected. The essays have been shared with Project Risk and Shine.
