AYLUS Pearland’s leader, Kate Liu, starts a new tutoring program in collaboration with Ed White Elementary School. On October 16, AYLUS Pearland attended their first session of tutoring at Ed White Elementary school. From 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, volunteers helped teachers tutor kids with topics including elementary math, English, and art through one on one learning. The students participated in hour-long stations and rotated to a different subject after each rotation was done. The elementary students were excited to interact with high school students and talk to them about subjects they were learning in school. AYLUS plans on attending future tutoring events, which will be held on every Saturday.
