During the second week in September, AYLUS San Diego Branch volunteers continued their sciences Challenge Camp Program. The program allows volunteers to provide guidance on the sciences to interested students.
They taught over Zoom or Facetime, helping students learn scientific topics. Volunteers placed an emphasis on helping their students understand the subjects of their teachings. Their sciences challenge camp activities included:
Luke Qiao taught his students Gregory Ellinghaus, Junpeng Zhao, Angela Xue, and Christina Huang Java Coding on Saturday, 9/11, for one and a half hours.
Albert Mao taught his students Kevin Du, William Cheng, Emily Wu, Lylia Zheng, Lindsay zhu,Philip Zhang, AudreyWu, Jenny wu, Simon Liu AMC 8 Math on Saturday, 9/11, for one and a half hours.
Meijia He taught her students Andrew Xu and Philip Zhang Java on Saturday, 9/11, for one and a half hours.
In total, there were 18 participants in this event, with 3 volunteers.
The AYLUS San Diego Committee organized the 80th online Sciences Challenge Camp activity on the second week of September, 2021.
