Greater Princeton AYLUS Honors Firefighter Heroes (13th) in Montgomery Marking the 20th Anniversary of 9/11

It’s the 20th anniversary of 9/11. The terrorist attacks killed 2,977 people and injured thousands at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Americans host commemorative events at all three sites on the anniversary of the attacks.

Firefighters and their families sacrifice a lot to save lives, who deserve our honor and respect, especially at this memorial moment. In September, the Greater Princeton branch of AYLUS (GPA) continued an event called “Meals from the Heart”. GPA members honor our firefighter heroes in our community in our unique way.

On September 13rd, GPA members Alissa Wu (4 hrs), Emma Sun (4 hrs), and Ella Sun (4 hrs) organized a “Meal from the Heart” event for local firefighters. More GPA members (1 hr for all), including Catherine Feng, Fiona Fan, Ricky Fan, Sophia Song, Pearl Song, and Ethan Xie, joined the organizers for the event, hand delivering the meals to the Montgomery Volunteer Firefighters (35 Belle Mead Griggstown Road, Belle Mead, NJ).

GPA members also spent a minute of silence along with the firefighters to remember those we lost 20 years ago and thereafter.

More donation events are coming throughout the state of New Jersey!
