AYLUS Syosset Set Up Composting Station 1 to Help the Environment (3/29/21, #1)

On March 29th, 2021, members of the AYLUS-Syosset branch gathered together to help the environment by starting a composting station.

In this event, members of the AYLUS-Syosset branch built a composting bin made of recycled plastic. After the bin was completed, compost materials prepared beforehand were placed into it in layers. The materials included, shredded paper, food waste, dried branches, and ripped cardboard. Even starting with smaller-scale projects such as this, we are reusing the materials people often throw out as waste to be put into use. Everyone making a small act to help the environment will eventually lead to a big difference.

Participants included Alan Huang (2 hours), Ryan Leung (2 hours), Jasmine Chen (2 hours), Leo Cheng (2 hours), Sean Kane, Tristen Wong, Elizabeth Huang, and Francina Liu. An instructional video was also made and edited for more people to use by Alan Huang (2 hours) and Elizabeth Huang.
