AYLUS Manhasset NY Branch Science Corner 4: Preserving Lonesome George on August 28, 2020

The AYLUS Manhasset Branch students hosted a meeting with a live science zoom from the Museum of Natural History. This meeting kept people that were quarantined at their homes learning and connected to each other. Everybody learned together and was exposed to creatures like Lonesome George from a faraway time. This meeting and event were created to bring people together and create a mentally healthy space with no isolation in our local community with warm feelings during the Coronavirus crisis.

7 people participated(Matthew Yang, Eric Fang, Guimei, Hiram Pan, Benjamin, Eric, Lingling Liu)  and we all feel they gained an understanding of life and unity because of our meeting.

Matthew, Benjamin Yang (3 hours, 8/28/2091)(1 hour poster, 1 hour communication, 1 hour Zoom time)
