On August 21, 2020, from 10am-1pm, the New York Branch removed debris and garbage from trails and picnic areas. We picked up 129 pounds of trash consisting of discarded broken bottles, a deer skull, and the top half of a shopping cart, as well as plastic bags. By removing garbage from the park, we protect the environment from damage as well as preserving its natural beauty for all to enjoy.
The volunteers that participated were Jerry Xia, Jason Xia, Kevin Xia, Sarah Luo, Sophie Luo, Cindy Zhao, Haley Zhang, Timothy Wang, Alice Wang, Fiona Chen, Kevin Gong, Haonan Gong, and Larry Tao.
