On July 13, 2020, volunteers from the Phoenix Branch donated 200 ear savers to the Dignity Health Foundation East Valley. The ear savers will be going to the Chandler Regional Hospital and Mercy Gilbert Hospital. These ear savers function in, quite literally, saving ears. Because of the face masks that require wearing straps around the ears, healthcare workers often undergo lots of strain in their ears. Ear savers alleviate this pain as they can be attached to the straps around the face masks from the back of the head instead of the ear.
