The AYLUS National Leadership Team will host its first virtual seminar on Saturday June 13th at 3:00 PM EST. Our first guest speaker is Kenneth Yan, an AYLUS Alumni of Greater Princeton, NJ Branch and a rising sophomore at Yale University intending to major in Computer Science and History.
During his high school years, Kenneth was a captain of his high school’s FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team, where he worked on computer-aided design, team management, fundraising, and community outreach. He continues to be an active volunteer and mentor within the FIRST community. Beginning in early April, Kenneth has been a member of SOMA NJ 3D Printers Alliance, a coalition of volunteers in the state of New Jersey 3D printing personal protective equipment (PPE) items for frontline workers to combat the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
By applying the skills he learned on his robotics team, Kenneth has helped SOMA NJ 3D Printers Alliance deliver over 30,000 face shields and 10,000 ear savers to first responders and healthcare workers in New Jersey and surrounding areas.
We welcome AYLUS members from all branches to join! Please share this info and register through this link: http://tiny.cc/a5k0pz
