On January 4, 2020, 9 members of East Cobb Young Musicians from East Cobb Branch of AYLUS performed at Phoenix and the Solana senior centers.
The first place was the Phoenix senior center, and the members arrived at 2:10 pm. One piano player warmed up at the piano before the actual performance in order to attract audiences to come listen. Although the East Cobb Young Musicians have not visited this senior center for a while, the audience still welcomed us warmly. In addition, the performers were able to see the beautiful renovation of the senior center. The seniors enjoyed performances such as a cheerful holiday violin duet performed by Cynthia and Emily and various piano and trumpet pieces.
After completed the performance at the Phoenix senior center, the same group jointed by one more member and went to the Solana senior center. They performed at two places in the Solana. First, the members performed about thirty minutes for the senior citizens who were relaxing in the front lobby. After the group performed in the front lobby, they went to the back dining area to perform for more seniors in the memory care. The members were delighted to be able to play for even more people and put on a good show. At the end, the seniors and the staff thanked the group for playing at two places in the building. Many of the performers were complimented by their performances.
The members were delighted to be able to perform for such an amazing audience. They were happy to be able to share their love of music with the seniors especially at the start of a new year.
