Edison Branch, May 12th, 2019
The AYLUS Edison Branch conducted the community service at New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home on May 12th, 2019. Prince Hu, Xin Chen, Angela Hu, Daniel Zhou, Qin Zhang, Anmei Deng, Xiaomei Shi and Jun Zhou went to New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home and socialized with the seniors. They talked about the International Nursing Day, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth) of each year, marking the contributions that nurses make to society.. They transported the disabled seniors to the town square before the music performance “The Banshee Brothers” started. To the rhythm of South American song, they swung the arms with the seniors and danced together. The seniors were so happy, enjoying the music and warm atmosphere. Finally they transported the seniors back respectively. Anmei Deng was responsible for taking pictures during the afternoon..
