Edison Branch, April 14th, 2019
The AYLUS Edison Branch conducted the event at New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home on April 14th, 2019. It is a Yom Hashoa Ceremony. Xin Chen, Prince Hu, Angela Hu, Qin Zhang and Anmei Deng went to the veteran home and helped the seniors to attend the Yom Hashoa Ceremony. We transported the seniors to the townsquare. To the accompaniment, everyone sang the national anthem. Yom Hashoa is a Holocaust Remembrance Day, is observed as Israel’s day of commemoration for the approximately six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust as a result of the actions carried out by Nazi Germany and its collaborators, and for the Jewish resistance in that period. In Israel, it is a national memorial day. The people shared the stories in the past and expressed gratitude and Yearning and wish for a peaceful and better life. We serviced the people and learned from the people, It wasa happy and meaningful service afternoon. Finally we transported the seniors back respectively.
