Reported by Cassie Tammy Wang

On Sunday afternoon, February 17th, 16 GPA members and their parents spent 3 hours at the ICE Production Network TV Studio located at 35 Campus Drive (Campus 1) in Edison, NJ 08837. The event was organized by GPA to let members explore their strength and weakness so that they could build stronger self-confidence and leadership to serve the community better.

Mrs. Lily Greene, Independent Producer and General Manager of ICEPN TV, made a greeting speech. Lili thanked everyone for taking the time to be there. She felt it such a pleasure chit-chatting with all of GPA members and experienced some of their hosting skills on the spot. Lili was very pleased to have GPA talented kids explore their strength and weakness today. All kids who are interested in polishing their communication skills, their presentation skills, and their hosting skills, are welcome to the studio.

GPA members were surprised and happily to learn that “Talent Competition”, “Concert & TV Show”, “TV, Movie, Commercial Video Productions” are all offered at the ICEPN. There are so many programs for GPA members to join, for example, “My Great Stage”, “I am Your Host”, “News Record”, “Music Arts Video”, and “I am the Chef”, and so on.

For example, the “I am Your Host” program has the following benefits and training focus: (1) Improve introverts’ speaking skills to become more social and further increase character development; (2) Help build confidence in people and future hosts; (3) Help build and train leadership skills; (4) Improve person’s ability to be a better public speaker; (5) Improve basic communication skills; (6) Build outgoing personality and social contact affinity; (7) Provide real world hosting experience to best prepare for the future; (8) Help improve improvisational skills; (9) Teach basic modeling, acting, voiceover and hosting techniques; (10) Improve on cold-calling skills and people skills; (11) Help build goal setting and decision making.
