Greater Princeton AYLUS (GPA), NJ Branch, has many talented members. Since December 11th, 2018, we started to feature some of them on our web page, so all GPA members get to know each other. Hopefully, it would also help with more constructive and collaborative teamwork among GPA members in our volunteer activities! So here comes our Vice President Xin Chen:
Self-Introduction Provided by Xin Chen:
I am Xin Chen, 9th grade student in J.P. Stevens High School, Edison, a gentle person and very willing to make friends. I enjoy academic studies especially physics and computer science, meanwhile I keep on vocal, debate, football training and community service in daily life. I have been keeping on community service for 4 years, in Shanghai, China; Columbus, Ohio; Edison and Princeton area, New Jersey.
Soon my family are moving to Princeton, so I can actively continue my community services with GPA. Proudly being selected the Vice President of GPA, I will do my best to lead our team members, esp. those living in the Princeton area. I want to focus on a few projects, like “Humanistic care”, “Conservation” with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) as its Online Map Editor for the National Map Corps, and “Music from Heart” performance for the local seniors.
A variety of community services enrich my life, deepening my life experience. Serving others makes me realize the joy of dedication and the value of life, becoming a part of my life. I believe that everyone has his/her own talents and value. Let us communicate and help each other, developing together.
