The AYLUS Houston Branch Hosts Their 3rd English Writing Class

Daniel Wei, one of the members in the Houston Branch, has opened up a new English Writing Class! On June 16th, 2018, Daniel led a tutoring session for 4 young students! This is what they accomplished in the 3rd lesson.

Today we started learning about the persuasive techniques advertisements use to push their audience to perform some type of desired action. We went over the key aspects, such as Ethos, Pathos, and Logos. In order to ensure progress, we reviewed the fourteen vocabulary words from last week’s homework and also learned fourteen more. The homework that I assigned for the students this week were the 14 words we learned in class, to read 18 pages from The Phantom Tollbooth, and 25 pages from the Non-Fiction book that each student had of their own choice.
