On May 25th, 2018, the AYLUS Pearland Branch worked alongside the City of Pearland to celebrate summer with Concerts in the Park from 7 to 9 p.m. at Southdown Park. Featuring a different genre of music each week, people of all ages enjoy the free concert. This year’s lineup includes Mango Punch, Texas Unlimited Band, Kelly McGuire, Hamilton Loomis, and more. In addition, food vendors will be on hand selling a delicious variety of foods while the Splash Pad and playground will be available for kids.
At the beginning of this event, volunteers passed out surveys to the audience members, which helped determine what kind of audience there was in order to plan for a better concert next year. Volunteers also passed out raffle tickets as a reward for filling out the survey. AYLUS volunteers spent around two hours passing out all the surveys and raffle tickets. At 8 PM, raffle prizes were announced. Everyone had a cheerful smile on their face as the soulful music played in the air.
