Eight young musicians entertained old-time music for senior residents at Arbor Terrace Senior Center on December 17. The crowd was almost packed to the brim in the entertainment hall. People applauded and smiled and sing together as the sweet notes reached their ears in 90 minutes perform.
“Every single person in the room has been involved,” said Susan Rickard, Engagement Director of Arbor Terrace. “Music is like that — it keeps us young. These kids are wonderful. We all love it.”
Besides wonderful music, our talent pianists Eric Yao also play magic tricks to cheer up seniors, and struck a deeper chord to them. “You see what it means to me. I just love every minute of it. I am here all the time by myself. This entertains me. It lifts me up and builds my spirit high.” One of senior said to us.
The members who attended today’s performance are: Daniel Shu(Violin), Raymond Jiang(Violin), Michael Fu(Violin), Russel Emerine(Viola), Hiroki Sato(Saxophone/Piano), Eric Yao(Piano/Magic Tricks), Nick Vincent(Cello), Howard Hua(Flute)
