On November 18th, 2017, AYLUS Pearland got together to celebrate its 2nd birthday with a Thanksgiving Feast at Sunrise Lake. With over 30 families attending, the Sunrise Lake clubhouse was overflowing with good food, joyous chatter, and festive celebration. This was AYLUS’s first official party to commemorate the hard work that both parent and child alike contributed towards AYLUS’s success.
After devouring a scrumptious potluck meal, AYLUS members gathered in the clubhouse to share moments of their memorable volunteering experiences. As many members had not met before, the party was a wonderful opportunity for adults and children alike to meet their fellow AYLUS peers. Kevin Chen, Tony Liu, Jason Jiang, Donna Liu, Han Lu, Julie Zhu were given the opportunity to speak on the behalf of AYLUS volunteers and to thank the adults and sponsors who made every opportunity possible. Additionally, advisors Zhiyin Yu and Brian Liu thanked everyone generously for coming out to support AYLUS.
