On July 7, students from the San Diego Branch of AYLUS organized the the Fourth Computer for Kids Lab to repair computers and give them to children of low income families.
The students repaired 200 notebooks, boxed 150 netbooks for distribution, and folded and packed 500 power cords.
The San Diego branch students have accomplished the following so far since the Computer for Kids program started:
- Diagnosed, repaired, and tested 977 notebooks/netbooks/laptops
- Blown out and cleaned 12 Computers
- Tested 401 hard drives
- Tested 37 LCD monitors
- boxed 150 netbooks for distribution
- Folded and packed 1130 Power cords
- Wrapped 595 notebook adapters
All the laptops/netbooks/notebooks will be donated to children of needed families so they can have a computer to work at home.
