On June 16, students from the San Diego Branch of AYLUS organized the second Computer for Kids Lab to repair computers and give them to children of low income families.
The students diagnosed, repaired, and tested 410 Netbooks, removing the original hard drive and replacing it with a new hard drive. They also wrapped 595 Netbook adapters.
The San Diego branch students have accomplished the following so far since the Computer for Kids program started:
- Diagnosed, repaired, and tested 678 laptops/notebooks/netbooks
- Blown out and cleaned 12 Computers
- Folded and packed 280 Power cords
- Wrapped 595 netbook adapters
All the laptops, Netbooks, and Notebooks will be donated to children of needed families so they can have a computer to work at home.
