On February 3rd, AYLUS Pearland co-hosted the annual Lunar New Year Festival with Glenda Dawson High School’s Asian Culture Club. AYLUS members donated and served many types of Asian food, decorated the festival, and managed the activity booths. Several activities included ping-pong, badminton, calligraphy, and origami. Additionally, AYLUS set up a booth to display some of China’s cultural works of art.
The volunteers were:Tony Liu, Han Lu, Shurui Zhang, Sunny Wang, Hanxi Zhu, Kevin Chen, Wilbert Liu, David Wang, Kathryn Guan, Ben Liang, Daniel Ling, Ethan Chen, William Li, Hans Wang, Luxin Peng, Kevin Tong, Grace Liu, Janie Chen, Kathy Liang, Annee Zhu, Jasmine Infante, Sara Michael, William He, Bill Tang, Donna Liu, Kate Liu and Jason Jiang.
The Pearland Branch would like to thank Dawson’s Asian Culture Club for inviting us back to make the festival a success. We look forward to helping out again next year!
