As part of the Nationwide Gift Drive, the San Diego Branch of AYLUS collected foods on November 5, 2016 and donated 5000 pounds of rice and beans to 200 needed families in Mexico on November 6, 2016. The students from the San Diego Branch also collected two new coffer makers, two large cases of books, and three boxes of sheets and linens. The students who participated in those events are: Christopher Yang, Stephen Yang, Ashly Zhang, Jackson Shen, Leonard Fan, Brian Zhu, Raymond Li, Michael Bai, Ethan Tran, and Timothy Tran. Seven adults also participated in the events.
