With the cool morning breeze complementing the warm rays of the sun, laughter soon filled the air as parents and children tried their luck at fishing around the lake at Bass Pro Shops. Volunteers welcomed visitors with open arms: pointing out tips-and-tricks for nervous rookies and accompanying experienced veterans around the facility. Seeing the bobber dance up-and-down, tense frowns and knitted brows clouding the faces of youngsters evaporated as jubilant cheers and radiant smiles lit up their faces. However, even the most dedicated fisherman cannot resist the savory aromas tickling their nose; and as the sun rose up in the sky, the cooking crew entered the fray, frying juicy chicken tenders and roasting pulled pork, before topping the dishes off with a golden crown of fries. Regrettably, the walk of time never ceases, and soon the event was coming to a close. However, the infectious laughter and sparkling smiles of everyone will never be forgotten, this day forever a cherished memory resonating deep within our hearts.
AYLUS Pearland Branch would like to thank Patricia Wiley and Pearland Parks and Recreation for this opportunity. We look forward to working with them in the future!
