On August 13th, 2016, Amy Xuan, Alice Nie, Mark Wang, Jason Guo, and Michelle Lin of the Columbus Branch performed at Dublin Assisted Living & Memory Support by Senior Star. The violinist, flautist, cellist, and two pianists performed an hour long segment, called Intergenerational Music. Each musician played two pieces with their respective instruments, offering a wide range of music genres that could be heard resonating in the building. The Columbus Branch hopes that by doing this, Seniors get to experience live, free, music from aspiring musicians, as well as enjoy an hour of reaping the benefits music presents : relieving boredom, motivating movement, triggering positive thoughts and memories, calming nervousness, and promoting social interaction.
