Following the success of the first phone banking session and with the upcoming 2016 Presidential Election looming ever closer, Aylus Pearland hosted its second phone banking session on July 30th, 2016.
Hosted at the Pearland Westside Library, our volunteers phoned potential voters for the presidential nominees. Over 800 calls were made over the span of two hours, and our volunteers were satisfied with their work.
This was a wonderful opportunity for our volunteers to not only immerse themselves in politics, but also to practice public speaking. This was a big step up from the first phone banking meeting, and we hope to do many more sessions in the future.
The 17 volunteers were: Vincent Yang, Kevin Chen, Jason Jiang, Donna Liu, Grace Liu, Han Lu, Hans Wang, Luxin Peng, Jerry Gu, Daniel Ling, Jenny Yu, Wilbert Liu, William Li, Julie Zhu, Derek Xie, Hanxi Zhu, and Kate Liu.
