With the parents’ enthusiastic advocating among other groups of parents, our third meeting (Aug 9th, 2015) made a dramatic turn, or rather was a mega hit. This meeting drew interests from more than 40 families. By word of mouth, there were more than 100 people attending the meeting, a whopping 2500% increase! The hall was packed with visitors, and we had to split the meeting into 2 sessions. This meeting was also the first showcasing of the robot to the public. The robot had progressed further in its building stage, and was able to be controlled by a console.
Our robotics project made a surprising frog leap. I would contribute this phenomenal success to the persistence of the team members, and to parents’ enthusiastic support behind the scenes.
