On Tuesday, August 4th, 2020, AYLUS Scottsdale donated 3 boxes of goldfish, 3+ bags of chips, 2 boxes of brownies, 4 dozen cookies, and more. In addition, we donated drinks like orange juice and utensils like napkins. To show our appreciation for the healthcare workers at Hospice of the Valley-Eckstein Center, all the members, and the leadership made thank you cards. To prepare for the event, Shaw Hu contacted the Eckstein Center staff to find out the donation details. Shaw Hu, Andrew Yang, and Laura Wang coordinated the event. In preparation for this event, members had to coordinate with the hospital, buy food and drinks, and write handmade thank you cards. At the event, in order to minimize the chances of spreading the coronavirus to workers, members and parents took precautions such as wearing face masks and gloves.
