On Saturday 11/07, from 1:45 to 2:45, four AYLUS Great Neck volunteers worked with Park District’s Skating School’s Learn To Skate program. During our volunteer service at the ice skating school, each volunteer was assisted with daily activities and helped support the skating instructors, students, and staff.
Through this volunteer experience, we developed communication, teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills. we also learned the importance of patience, responsibility, and helping younger students feel comfortable and confident while learning a new sport.
Volunteering at the ice skating school has been a rewarding experience. It allowed us to contribute to the skating community, help young students develop their skating skills, and gain valuable experience working with children and instructors.
We are grateful for the opportunity to serve the community and support the growth of young skaters.
