On September 6, 2026, members of the AYLUS Great Neck Branch returned to Kings Point Park for another trail maintenance service project. Although only four volunteers were able to attend this time, everyone came ready to work and continued the project with determination. The small group did not let the amount of work discourage them and worked steadily throughout the service event.
During the project, volunteers followed the river and worked on two different sections of the trail. They helped repair and improve the paths by clearing obstacles, flattening uneven areas, and covering wood chips, making the trails easier to walk on. The group cooperated closely, allowing the trails to be worked on efficiently.
This service project showed how teamwork can make a difference even with a small group. By communicating and helping each other, the four volunteers were able to complete a meaningful amount of work without sacrificing the quality of the trail maintenance. Their efforts continued the AYLUS Great Neck Branch’s work at Kings Point Park and helped keep the park’s trails safer and more accessible for local residents and visitors.
