AYLUS Roslyn Volunteers at the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County’s Group Home Chapman Avenue on 8/15/26

On Saturday, August 15th, members of AYLUS Roslyn visited the CP Nassau residents at residential home located at Chapman Avenue

At the start, the residents and the volunteers baked cookies to make cookies. The residents did a wonderful job of preparing and mixing the batter to make the cookies. After setting the cookie dough into the oven, we began to do puzzles and arts & crafts. The volunteers helped the residents make bracelets. After the residents were done making the bracelets, they moved on to playing with bingo. After doing that for a little bit, the cookies finished baking, and everyone enjoyed some. Volunteering at CP Nassau continues to be a rewarding experience for us. It allows us to connect with individuals with disabilities, offering companionship and support while also encouraging patience, empathy, and teamwork.

We look forward to our next visit and another opportunity to bring smiles to the residents of CP Nassau!
