On July 4, 2026, members Jerry, Eric, Kevin, Joey, Elissa, Kerui, Wenjie, Simon, and Anthony of the AYLUS Lake Washington Branch volunteered for the City of Sammamish to support the city’s event for the 250th Anniversary of the 4th of July. From 3:45 PM to 9:00 PM, volunteers worked to keep the event running by supervising stairs, inflatables, and roaming around to assure that everyone is safe and following rules, including providing first aid to young children. Through hands‑on work and collaboration with community members, participants learned how to manage such a large event, successfully providing the City of Sammamish with a beautiful 250th 4th of July.
