On the 30th of June, 2026, AYLUS Lake Washington members Eric Huang, Elissa Song, Kevin Chen, Xingchen Song and Kerry Xu volunteered at the Big Rock Park Central Heritage Garden with the Sammamish Botanical Garden Society. They helped remove invasive plants, dead leaves and flowers in the garden, and learned about important environmental skills and various ways to effectively identify weeds. They also harvested lettuce and packaged it for export to a local food bank. Our members agree that this was an amazing opportunity to help out in the community and contribute positively to the environment. They each volunteered for two hours, starting at 10:00 AM and ending at 12:00 PM.
