In June, members of the Roslyn AYLUS Branch organized an Arts & Crafts Supply Donation Drive to collect materials for upcoming arts and crafts workshops. Throughout the project, members donated a variety of new and gently used supplies, including yarn, crochet hooks, knitting needles, acrylic markers, stickers, cardstock, ribbons, tissue paper, origami paper, craft kits, and other crafting materials. Donations were collected at a designated drop-off location before the June 27 deadline.
During the project, volunteers worked together to gather, organize, and prepare the donated supplies for future workshops. A total of 14 members participated in the donation drive, helping collect a wide range of arts, crafts, knitting, and crochet materials. The supplies were sorted and prepared so they could be used effectively during upcoming community workshops.
This experience allowed members to support future community programs while working together toward a common goal. Through their contributions, volunteers helped ensure that upcoming arts and crafts workshops would have the materials needed for participants to enjoy creative and meaningful activities. The project also encouraged generosity, responsibility, teamwork, and active involvement in serving the community.
