AYLUS Great Neck Branch Plays Sports with Kids at Firefighters Park 65th (6/26/26)

On Friday, June 26, a sports activity specially arranged for middle school students took place at Firefighter Park from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Yucheng Fu, Cody and Baiyu Chen signed up to be volunteers and arrived at the park ahead of schedule to get ready for the event. As soon as we walked into the activity area, we saw groups of middle school students gathering around different sports facilities, full of excitement and energy to take part in outdoor activities.

We quickly separated to accompany the students and joined them in different games during the whole activity time. At first, we stayed beside the swing set, gently pushing the kids and talking with them while they swung back and forth with loud laughter. Later, we moved to the open ground and table tennis tables, playing badminton and table tennis with the students in turns. We cheered for every wonderful hit, shared simple jokes and encouraged those who were not good at sports to keep trying, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere all the time.

When the activity came to an end, we felt a strong sense of satisfaction deep in our hearts. Spending the whole afternoon accompanying students to do sports not only let us enjoy the fun of outdoor exercise together, but also built a closer connection between us and the teenagers. This warm and lively experience left us a wonderful memory, and we all agreed that this was truly a meaningful and rewarding day worth remembering.
