Creating Father’s Day Cards for Seniors
On June 6, Lucy Zhang, Megan Wang, and Anna Hou participated in a special
Father’s Day service project to honor seniors in our community. Through thoughtful
messages, creative designs, and heartfelt effort, they handcrafted Father’s Day
cards to recognize and celebrate the important role that fathers and father figures
have played throughout their lives.
Together, the volunteers created 25 unique cards, each filled with appreciation,
encouragement, and warm wishes. The cards have been delivered to Gifts for
Seniors and will be distributed to senior fathers before Father’s Day, helping them
feel remembered, valued, and celebrated.
This project provided an opportunity for our young volunteers to express gratitude
while making meaningful connections across generations. By taking the time to
create something personal and uplifting, AYLUS members demonstrated empathy,
kindness, and a genuine commitment to serving others.
