On June 14, 2026, our branch members maintained our adopted street, spanning from the Whole Foods Plaza to McCrimmon Parkway. As they were heading back home, they noticed more litter along the way and decided to do some additional cleanup work on the Morris Branch Greenway.
For some unknown reason, a large number of paper scraps, plastic bags, threads, and broken balloons were scattered along the sidewalk and bushes. Luckily, our volunteers have tools and garbage bags left from the adopted street work. So we could conduct this new project with a safe and effective cleaning process immediately. Our volunteers spent a considerable amount of time picking them up piece by piece. We were rewarded to see our community street restored to a spotless condition.
