On Sunday, May 31st, volunteers from the Alyus Therapeutic Skating Program gathered at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink for an afternoon of mentorship and skill-building for the young skaters. Today is our last class for this season. From 2:15 to 3:15 p.m., each volunteer helped skaters to review and practice what they have learned. Through patient encouragement, the volunteers helped the skaters build the confidence to take risks safely. By the conclusion of the session, the progress was visible as the skaters can confidently demonstrated skills and skate independently. It was an inspiring and friendly event for both the participants and the volunteers.
