On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from morning until noon, students from the Roslyn AYLUS Branch
volunteered at NOSH Delivers!, a nonprofit organization that has served families in need across
Long Island for the past six years. During our time there, volunteers mainly helped break down
boxes, move food, and create space for new inventory. That day, NOSH received a large
amount of food, including canned vegetables, potatoes, milk, water, fruits, and snacks, and we
also helped organize the shelves.
Throughout the session, many families came to receive the food and supplies they needed.
Seeing their happiness and relief made us feel fulfilled and reminded us how even small acts of
service can make a big difference. This was a truly life-changing experience because it showed
us how our efforts could help many families in the community. Although NOSH is only six years
old, it has grown into a well-organized and strongly supported organization that not only helps
local families, but also brings together donors, volunteers, and families in need.
