On March 31st, Great Neck AYLUS hosted another successful tutoring session at the Great Neck Library Station Branch from 6:00-7:00 pm. Junlin tutored a fifth-grade student regarding mathematics and English. Doing maths questions involving unit conversion and volumes with fractions. The student also completed various English reading comprehension questions on weather and the tools used to measure it. Brian helped a younger student tackle maths questions about percentages and even solve logic questions, requiring a great deal of effort. Summer helped a student with maths questions involving calculating the perimeter of various 2D shapes, finishing many in an hour. Linzi also worked on English comprehension and spelling, but at a more elementary level, focusing on understanding and participation. Lastly, Yiqing helped a 6th-grade student with maths, dividing whole numbers using long division. She also helped with English comprehension. Overall, it was another successful tutoring session. Everyone had a fun time and will continue to do so in upcoming sessions.
