Today at Fellowship Village, one customer came with issues of a lagging email account due to excessive spam. The volunteer then helped to clean out those emails so that the account worked faster. Another customer had issues with turning off instagram notifications, and deleting people they did not want to follow them. There were also some questions regarding how to use a hearing app which could tune out background noise, act as headphones, and directional focus – allowing enhanced hearing on one side of the person.
Our members helped seniors feel a sense of belonging into the new modern age of technology. The volunteers also talked and engaged with the seniors, learning what it truly means to be part of a community.
