On Sunday, March 8th, 2026, at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink, volunteers from the AYLUS Therapeutic Skating Program spent an hour (2:15-3:15) skating with children participating in the program.
Each volunteer was paired with a skater, offering guidance and support on the ice to ensure a safe and fun experience for all. During the time they had with each skater, the volunteers encouraged each skater to try and learn new things based on their student’s skill level, teaching them technique. The skaters have been learning a variety of skills and improving.
Both skaters and volunteers had a great time together, and we’re all appreciative of everyone who participated in this event and took part in making it a wonderful experience. We look forward to seeing you all next week!
